FancyTab
Dynamic Animations for your Browser Title
FancyTab is a brand new custom Bric for Blocs that animates your browser tab title. You know that little text you see at the top of a browser tab? Most websites set it once and forget it. FancyTab turns it into something dynamic, engaging and alive. When your visitors have your site open — even if they've tabbed away to check something else — FancyTab keeps quietly working in the background, drawing their attention back to you. No code. No CSS. No JavaScript knowledge required. Just drag, drop and use the sidebar controls you already know and love in Blocs.
- ✅ Dead simple drag-and-drop install
- ✅ 100% SEO safe

Why Choose FancyTab?
Dead Simpe to Install
Option A: Global Footer.
Drag FancyTab into the global footer area of your Blocs project. Done. It runs on every single page of your website automatically with one set of settings. 🎉
Option B: Page by Page
Want different animations on different pages? Drop FancyTab onto individual pages instead and configure each one separately. Your Shop page can have a different message to your Home page.
⚠️ Just remember: use one or the other — not both at the same time.
Your SEO is 100% Safe
FancyTab only changes what visitors see in their live browser tab using JavaScript. Your actual <title> tag, the one search engines read, stays exactly as you set it in Blocs Page Settings. FancyTab has zero impact on your SEO.
Lightweight & Fast
FancyTab adds a tiny, optimised JavaScript file to your project. It won't slow your site down, affect your Lighthouse scores or interfere with anything else. It does one job and does it well.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions, we've got answers.
Where is the best place to add FancyTab in my Blocs project?
The easiest and most recommended place is the global footer area, the section at the very bottom of your Blocs canvas that has a slightly different background colour. When you place FancyTab there, it automatically runs on every page of your website without you having to add it again and again.
If you want a different animation on a specific page, you can drag FancyTab onto that individual page instead. Just make sure you never place it in both the global footer AND on a page at the same time. Just pick one approach and stick with it.
💡 Not sure where the global footer is? Scroll all the way to the bottom of your Blocs canvas. You will see a clearly separated area below all your page content — that is your global footer.
The animation is not showing. Why?
There are three common reasons for this:
You are looking at the Blocs canvas 👉 The animation only works in a live browser — not inside Blocs itself. Click the ▶ Right-click the preview button and select a browser to test it.
Style is set to "None" 👉 Open the FancyTab sidebar and change the Style dropdown to Alternate or Marquee.
Will FancyTab affect my Google ranking or SEO?
No — your SEO is completely safe. 😊
FancyTab only changes what visitors see in their browser tab while they are visiting your site. It does this using JavaScript after the page has already loaded.
Your actual page title, the one that Google and other search engines read, is stored in your page's code and is set in Blocs Page Settings as normal. FancyTab never touches that. Search engines do not see or care about JavaScript tab animations.
💡 Just make sure your Blocs page title is still set correctly in Page Settings even when using FancyTab. Good SEO titles are still important!
I see tab icon flickering in Marquee mode. Is it broken?
Nothing is broken, this is a normal behaviour in Google Chrome. When the browser tab title changes rapidly (which is what creates the scrolling effect), Chrome briefly re-draws the entire tab including the little favicon icon next to the title. This causes a subtle flicker.
This is a browser limitation and not something FancyTab can fix.
The good news is:
In Safari and Firefox this flicker is minimal or not visible at all. It does not affect how your website looks or works, it is only a cosmetic tab effect. Your visitors are unlikely to notice it unless they are actively staring at the tab. If the flicker bothers you, switching to Alternate mode instead of Marquee completely eliminates it, as titles change much less frequently.
Is FancyTab affiliated with Blocs App?
No. blocs-brics.store is an independent store with no affiliation to Blocs App or blocs.store.
